Good all round, needed a little tweak

Good all round, needed a little tweak
Works well but needs pads on the part that sits on the wall on either side of the door way coz the little plastic protector they have is useless & after a couple of weeks using it I found holes in the wall board. I filled & painted the wall board & remedied the problem by sticking 3M thick felt pads (that usually do under chair or table legs). That seems to have done the trick & my son is enjoying doing pull ups again.

Been looking for a doorway bar but didn't want the typical one that have the multiple grips and generally they hang lower in the doorway. This product fit the bill. There was one picky thing where the screws to the brackets were panhead but the holes in the brackets were countersunk holes. No issue though. Otherwise when it was installed it feels like a chin-up bar should feel like, just a straight bar, was worried about if feeling flimsy, but once up on the door it feels solid. Plenty high enough to do a full hanging chin up, at least for me at 5'9". Just feels good to hang from a straight bar, can't work through the door without knocking out 1 or 2 chin-ups:) Definitely would recommend.

This product is a piece of crap!!! The idea behind this pull up bar is great, but the design and manufacturing are poorly executed. The curved bars and the guide holes are not uniform. When assembled you have a twisted and uneven product. It is impossible to mount in a doorway. I would give this negative stars if possible. DO NOT PURCHASE!

If you can handle putting a few screws into your door jam, this is a great pull-up bar. The bar is up above the doorway which is great if you're 6'4" like me. All the other doorway bars are way too low. This is also very sturdy. You'll have no worries about falling. A buddy of mine injured himself after one of those other doorway bars came off its mounts during an aggessive pull-up session.

This was a decent pull up bar for a reasonable price. I was looking for something that would not require me to put anything permanent in the doorway. Unfortunately, I missed the fact that this product actually did require brackets to be screwed into the doorframe, which prevents closing the door completely. This would not be a problem in an infrequently used doorway where the door never needed to be closed. This may have been my fault for not reading the information about the bar included on the website. Assembly of the metal frame pieces was straightforward and installation was fairly simple (screwing an included bracket into each doorframe). The bar seems quite sturdy for me(175 lbs), but the diameter of the bar was a bit too small for my hands. A firm rubber slip-on grip to enlarge the bar and make the smooth surface easier to hold onto, would be a great addition.

I have an older home that has larger door frames. Most other door pull-up bars will not work in my house. This one works great. I like how the bar raises above the door so I can do a pull-up with having to bend my knees so my feet will not touch the floor. This bar needs grips though. The metal bar does not feel comfortable in your hands. I cut the grips off of my older bar and put them on this one. I'm happy with this product.

It's a PITA to assemble, as the instructions are quite vague. Once it's up tho, it's the best chin up/pull up setup I've owned, It's better than the perfect pullup bar as well. It's equal to the door gym tho, as that doubles as a push up setup as well.

Still, look workouts for it on the net, and enjoy. It's money well spent, and the price was a bargain.

One of the key support components proved to be drilled at the wrong angle, making it impossible to tighten all bolts. Also, craftsmanship is very shoddy... tube end fittings expose torn metal edges, bolt housing welds are shoddy.

Your mileage may vary: you might get a good one, you might be able to muscle it together, you might not break your neck.

Good luck with that. I, for one, prefer not to hang from a device that appears to have been thrown together by sullen and disinterested vandals. I will be returning this item.

Disappointed with both seller and product; sold a useless item, too heavy to return it so I asked for partial refund but seller didn't bother to reply.

The holes in the iron are drilled by drunk people (I guess) because it's wry, there is a 10cm difference between the left and right sides so only one side supports the door frame.
Tried to use it like that, it slipped off and ruined the door frame and I fell.
Heavy, cost too much to return it, seller doesn't respond to a partial refund request.
Complete waste of money, time and door frame.
